AUBURN, Ala. - On Oct. 30, 2025, the Auburn Police Department arrested Brian Russell Lilly, age 38, from Auburn, Alabama, on seven felony warrants charging him with possession of child sexual abuse material. The arrest is the result of an investigation by the Auburn Police Department.

On Sept. 30, 2025, Auburn Police received information that a resident of Auburn, Alabama was possibly in possession of images of child pornography. Further investigation resulted in Lilly being developed as a suspect. During the investigation, pornographic images were recovered and confirmed to be those of juveniles not from the Auburn area. The investigation is ongoing, and more charges are possible.

Lilly was transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $70,000 bond.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
